Master Debonair throws its weight behind Pro MMA fighter Cal Pacino
Posted on October 23 2017
This week Master Debonair secured an agreement with rising MMA star Cal 'Pacino' Ellenor which sees Cal become an official Master Debonair ambassador.
Sunderland born Cal has made a big name for himself in the Mixed Martial Arts world, having won his first 5 fights in front of an international audience. Cal is currently signed to EFC worldwide, a South African based MMA organisation. As a result, Cal regularly fights in South Africa and is somewhat of an MMA mega star in the country. Cal has another 5 fights lined up for 2017/18, including one in Middlesbrough in December.
Having competed since he was 12, Cal began as a boxer before making the successful transition into MMA with TFT when he turned 18. He’s collectively had 36 fights, winning numerous titles in the process.
A bantamweight fighter, Cal is hoping to earn a shot at the 135lb EFC World Title in the next 12 months. Away from fighting, Cal and his partner Hannah gave birth to baby Jessie Alice in early 2017, and in true gentleman style Cal is very much the doting father, spending as much time with his first child as he can away from the gym.
Tailoring the Eton suit for Cal was a welcome challenge for our team, owing to the fact that Cal’s body shape will change so dramatically between now and his fight in December. In training, Cal will lose 14kg within a 5 week period, before rapidly adding weight immediately before his fight.
Our tailoring team therefore had to ensure that the Marc Darcy suit looked sharp on Cal throughout his training block and following his fight.
We’re looking forward to supporting Cal as his MMA career continues to grow. You can follow Cal on Twitter. Expect to see more updates from Cal and his team on our blog soon.
